SLPL Transformation
Cloud Infrastructure transformation for 3PL Giant - SLPL
- Category Cloud & DevOps
- Client SLPL
- Start Date December 10, 2019
- Handover April 18, 2020

Background & History
SLPL, a 3rd Party Logistics and Warehousing provider, operates over 20 warehouses across India using both centralized and decentralized software systems. They needed to optimize their infrastructure for cloud-based central management while maintaining control over individual warehouse operations. The client faced significant challenges in software deployment, server management, and backup processes, especially with manual updates and separate servers for each warehouse.
- + Manual server updates
- + Backup inefficiencies
- + Complex server management
- + Decentralized infrastructure

BlueWills Approach
We assessed SLPL’s entire IT infrastructure, including the combination of cloud-based centralized software and on-premise servers across multiple warehouses. Our team recommended leveraging cloud-native solutions and modern DevOps practices to streamline the management of servers and software deployment.
We focused on automating the entire process, from deployments to server management and backups. This involved creating a seamless CI/CD pipeline and centralized monitoring system for all servers, reducing the dependency on manual interventions and ensuring high availability and redundancy.
- + CI/CD pipeline setup
- + Cloud-native architecture
- + Automated backups
- + Centralized monitoring
- + Multi-server synchronization
- + DevOps integration tools
- + Automated software deployment
- + Disaster recovery planning

Execution Roadmap
Deliverables
Our deliverables included an end-to-end cloud transformation strategy, deployment of CI/CD pipelines, automated backup processes, and centralized monitoring tools for all SLPL servers. A team of DevOps engineers was dedicated to managing and maintaining the infrastructure, using modern development strategies that reduced manual effort and increased efficiency across the organization.

The cloud transformation was successful, with the new DevOps infrastructure significantly reducing the manual workload. We ensured consistent software deployments and updates across all warehouses, alongside rigorous backup protocols and performance monitoring, ensuring system robustness and scalability.
Enabling a Cloud-Driven Transformation for SLPL’s Warehouse Operations

Our modern cloud architecture and DevOps practices empowered SLPL to manage all their operations from a single, centralized system, eliminating inefficiencies in managing multiple servers manually.
The automated deployment pipelines ensured smooth updates, while the centralized backup system offered enhanced reliability and security for their distributed servers.
